Hayden Panettiere: 'Nashville' Character Does NOT Portray Taylor Swift » Gossip - Opening up about her latest role, Hayden Panettiere put to rest any question that her "Nashville" character portrays the super-talented Taylor Swift.
On Friday (July 27), the "Bring It On Again" actress attended a Television Critics Association event where she told press that the two don't have many similarities, saying, "I think aside from being around the same age and blonde… they’re very different. I think once you see her and get to know [my character] a little bit better, you’ll see that.”
Further explaining that the lack of comparison may actually be a good thing, Hayden dished, "I really think Taylor would disagree wholeheartedly as well. She’s much nicer than my character.”
In the new ABC drama, the 22 year-old stars as an upcoming musician who begins to take the spotlight from a country singing veteran played by Connie Britton. The fading Nashville superstar ends up being forced to team up with the new teen sensation or face the loss of her tour and promotion of her latest records.
